Ronald Drews has thirty years of experience in progressively more responsible leadership and administrative positions with demonstrated experience in providing vision and leadership to staff and diverse constituencies. He has extensive experience in program planning, financial management, human resource management, resource development, and staff training. He is a proud graduate in Special Education from Concordia Seward, Nebraska.
He is particularly effective in accessing and securing resources from private and government sources to create innovative solutions to long-term concerns. He enjoys and shows strength in assessing situations, problem solving, developing protocols, and motivating teams.
Ron has served on board leadership positions in numerous non-profits and enjoys collaborative partnerships and projects.
He served for thirteen years as the President/CEO for Lutheran Social Services of New York. Last December he accepted the same position at Lutheran Social Services of Southern. Called to this position, he continues his successful lifelong career in urban social service ministries.
The work in Southern California aligns well with his work experience. Both organizations’ mission is to serve the poor and break the cycle of poverty through progressive social service efforts. While in New York, the agency grew exponentially in the number of people served, staffing and funds raised. With God’s help and grace, he anticipates similar results.
